Photo Portfolio

These pictures have been made for either editorial or commercial purposes, though my approach is the same in both cases: work efficiently, adapt to changing circumstances, and recognize stories as they unfold.

The portfolio focuses on real people, real environments, and peak moments that appear when a camera is present but not intrusive. Rather than staging scenes, each image is created through observation and timing. The goal is to capture something honest—an interaction, an expression, or a detail that helps tell a larger story.

My Approach:

Many of the images in this portfolio are created in collaboration with nonprofit organizations or news outlets. These environments require a thoughtful, flexible approach—one that respects both the subject and the story being told.

You can see how this approach translates to commercial coverage in the  Portrait Portfolio or learn more about how projects are handled on the File Management page.

Professional standards for this type of work are often shaped by organizations like the National Press Photographers Association.

This portfolio is shaped by the same principles that guide editorial and nonprofit work: authenticity, patience, and attention to story. Images are created with the understanding that they will often live beyond a single moment—used in campaigns, publications, and long-term storytelling.

Because of this, the work prioritizes clarity and meaning over perfection. It’s less about controlling the scene and more about recognizing when something real is happening.
