Margo Reed
Hi, I'm Margo, a photojournalist based in Birdsboro, PA, just one hour from Philadelphia.
After completing a contract with the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philly Parks and Recreation, I established my studio to produce engaging content for people I previously would have worked with on news assignments.
I pride myself in photographing people who are not typically seen in front of the camera. This might include a surgeon performing a corneal transplant, a historical society preserving a disappearing minority language, a jazz artist releasing their first album.
My practice combines traditional visual storytelling principles of photojournalism with modern ethics and aesthetics.
I've had images featured in People, New York Times, NPPA's News Photographer Magazine, The Associated Press, and the Philadelphia Inquirer, among others. On the educational front, I hold a degree in photojournalism from Temple University, and I've participated in the Mountain Workshops for video storytelling and the Foundry Workshops, hosted by VII Academy and Photowings.
I am first on deck as your lead photographer / videographer at any shoot. I also utilize a team of talented photo and video colleagues to step in or assist when needed. More information below.
