Brand Photography and Video for Stage Step

This brand photography and video project was created in partnership with Stage Step, a long-term retainer client. The goal was to capture movement-rich imagery of dancers, studios, and products for use across a variety of marketing platforms.

The images and videos needed to convey a modern, energetic feel while also ensuring that the dancers felt comfortable throughout the process. As a result, creating a relaxed and collaborative environment was essential from the start.

The photo and video team included myself, my videographer colleague Aléna, and Stage Step personnel. Together, we worked efficiently to balance both creative direction and production needs within a limited timeframe.

Creating Movement-Driven Brand Content

In just a few minutes, we established a flexible lighting setup that allowed us to capture both dynamic solo portraits and light, energetic group shots. At the same time, the setup remained simple and unobtrusive.

Because the dancers were able to remain in their own space, surrounded by peers, the resulting images feel natural and authentic. This approach helped maintain energy and consistency throughout the shoot.

Brand Photography and Video Production Process

The primary challenge was to create a cohesive visual system across both photography and video within a few hours. Therefore, we combined both mediums into a single shoot using a compact lighting setup.

Pre-production included approximately two hours of planning meetings to align on creative direction and logistics. Afterward, post-production involved image editing, client proofing, and video editing over the course of three weeks.

Ultimately, this brand photography and video project delivers a unified set of assets designed for flexible use across Stage Step’s marketing platforms.
