College Video Production for Bryn Mawr College

This college video production project documents a major leadership transition at Bryn Mawr College, capturing the departure of President Kim Cassidy and the inauguration of President Wendy Cadge.

The goal of this project was to create a series of videos that honored President Cassidy’s legacy while introducing a new chapter for the college. As a result, the work combined event coverage, interviews, and documentary storytelling across multiple moments throughout 2024.

Working closely with the Bryn Mawr communications team, we captured both formal ceremonies and everyday campus life. In addition, filming events across the semester helped build a broader narrative of the school and its community.

Filming a Presidential Transition

This assignment required flexibility across a range of environments, including campus events, institutional settings, and private homes.

Because many participants were not accustomed to being on camera, creating a comfortable environment was essential. Therefore, interviews were often conducted in familiar spaces, allowing subjects to feel at ease while speaking naturally.

At the same time, maintaining a consistent visual approach across all shoots ensured a cohesive final product.

College Video Production Process

Each story began with approximately two hours of pre-production meetings and planning materials. From there, detailed production documents guided scheduling, lighting, and logistics. Balancing event coordination with technical needs was a key challenge. However, careful planning allowed for efficient coverage across all major moments.

Delivering College Video Content

The farewell video required approximately four weeks of post-production, while event coverage was delivered within 48 hours to support ongoing communications. Ultimately, this college video production project tells the story of transition, continuity, and leadership at Bryn Mawr College while strengthening a long-term partnership for future storytelling work.
